Gorenje Romania, the home appliances importer and distributor part of Slovenia’s Gorenje group, forecasts a 10 percent expansion in sales to over EUR 13 million this year, driven by white goods.
Damir Drazetic, general director of Gorenje Romania, said the increase in sales is due to an expansion of the distribution network and of the range of products.
“Concerning our market share, its stands between 3 to 10 percent, depending on the range of products,” said Drazetic.
He expects white goods to generate 70 percent of Gorenje’s sales and small appliances to hold the rest.
Drazetic said that 35 percent of the sales are made in the national network of specialized stores and 25 percent through independent stores. He added cash and carry stores, hypermarkets and DIY stores account for 20 percent of the business, while online sales have a 17 percent share. Another 3 percent comes from kitchen furniture sellers.
