George Enescu Festival through international headlines

More than a week has passed since the 21st edition of George Enescu Festival kicked off, entertaining the public with great orchestras of the world and incredible performances.

AFP newswire publishes a complete article about the festival, with a focus on Daniel Barenboim, the conductor that opened this year’s edition. Top musicians gather for Romania’s “absolute” composer can be read online here.

Reuters also mentions the festival, focusing on the Chinese pianist Yuja Wang who played Tchaikovsky’s Piano Concerto No. 1 to a packed hall with the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra conducted by Manfred Honeck. The full article can be seen here.
