Gecad Group, led by entrepreneur Radu Georgescu, announced it has made a new investment in Gluru, a London company started by former employees of Google, Amazon, Rackspace and Apple.

Gecad led the round of investments which provided for Gluru approximately USD 15 milllion in seed money before the launch of its first application on the market. This round of investments included business angels like  Chee Wong, who was chief technology officer in Shazam, and now joined the management board of Gluru.

“I trust that the team behind Gluru, a rare mix of innovation and experience proven in international technology industry, will create a new and completely revolutionary market segment. With this platform, Gluru will transform the way we interact and benefit from data,” said Radu Georgescu, founding partner of Gecad group.

The funds that were attracted as investments will be used to speed up the Gluru growth by expanding the team, accelerating the product development and partnerships with other platforms, as well as to expand the operational infrastructure of the company, the sales, marketing and communications skills.

Gluru makes a suite of applications built on a sophisticated platform that learns the users’ individual working styles based on their daily activities. Moreover, Gluru will organize and deliver the files that the user needs at a certain point.

The first suite of applications called Gluru Assistant will be available this quarter.

Interested users can request an invitation for testing the alpha version at the address www.gluru.co.

Developers will soon have at their disposal the API based on which they can build new applications for consumers and companies, on the Guru platform.

According to founders, Gluru can help users to save a week a year just through their modern functions that can understand their working styles.
