Deichmann Romania sells EUR 49 mln worth of shoes in 2012

The Romanian subsidiary of German footwear retailer Deichmann  has increased its gross turnover by about 28.6 percent in 2012 to a total of RON 217 .7 million (approximately EUR 49 million), representing 2.33 million pairs of shoes sold locally (up 22.5 percent y-o-y)

The same year the company has opened 7 new stores and operated a network of 55 outlets locally at the end of 2012. Deichmann has also increased its number of employees by almost 100 to a total of 456 in 2012.

The retailer has been present in Romania since 2007.

German Deichmann is a family owned business present on 21 European markets and the USA. Last year it reported a turnover of EUR 3.9 billion and operated 3,325 stores.
