Software producer AROBS Transilvania Software in partnership with Belgian company Be-Mobile and radio channel Europa FM launched TraficOK, which collects, interprets and delivers traffic-related data in real time in Romania, covering over 70 percent of the roads in the country.
The solution will be available on GPS navigation systems as well as in the form of applications for smartphones and tablets. A GPS with the pre-installed solution will sell at a price between RON 550 and RON 1,000.
The first GPS that comes with this pre-installed solution is Smailo TraficOK.
The collected information also reach the radio and TV outlets that need to inform the public on traffic conditions and the authorities, including city halls.
AROBS Transilvania Software has currently 300 employees working in the offices of the company in Cluj Napoca, Bucuresti, Iasi, Oradea, Ploiesti and Constanta. Last year, the company expanded on international markets, opening offices in Budapest, Chisinau and San Diego.
