In the context of increasing concerns for energy efficiency and reducing the negative impact on the environment, Schneider Electric, together with its partner WALTON ELECTRIC SRL, brings more and more sustainable solutions to their customers, helping them both reduce their expenses and meet their environmental goals. Recently, WALTON ELECTRIC SRL completed a project to implement a photovoltaic system, for its client PRESTO STEEL CONSTRUCT SRL.

The main objective of the project was to reduce electricity bills, by installing an efficient photovoltaic system, designed to generate power mainly for own consumption, but also for injecting the surplus production into the grid.

“We are all aware of utility price fluctuations, so we are looking to optimize them and achieve operational cost predictability. Since the first days of use, the system implemented by Walton Electric with the help of Schneider Electric solutions, has covered approximately 60-65% of the daily energy needs, given that our activity continues during the night. Only 35-40% of the energy consumed during this period still comes from the grid”, says Stefan Cus, General Manager at PRESTO STEEL CONSTRUCT SRL.

As part of the project, WALTON ELECTRIC implemented a complex photovoltaic system, which includes solar panels manufactured by IBC SOLAR AG from Germany, with an efficiency of 22.3%. The mounting system, wiring and accessories are also German-sourced, ensuring quality and long-term reliability. The inverters used are manufactured by Sungrow, the world leader in inverter manufacturing, known for their very high efficiency.

“The close collaboration with our customers and partners together with our customized solutions allow us to contribute to increasing energy efficiency, reducing the impact on operational costs and on the environment, for many companies. The recently completed project is a clear example of our commitment to quickly provide advanced and reliable solutions for the energy needs of companies”, Lucian Enaru, Country General Manager Schneider Electric Romania, Armenia & Republic of Moldova.

The system was completed with a DC and AC switchboard from Schneider Electric, thus guaranteeing optimal and safe operation.

The implementation of the photovoltaic system brought multiple benefits to the customer in a short time, replacing the dependence on the energy supplier by own production and reducing value of the electricity bills

“As the technical director of our company, I am proud to underline our commitment to the implementation of the highest quality photovoltaic systems. We use equipment and materials imported from Germany, and for the power and control panels we use Schneider Electric products. These choices ensure durability, efficiency and safety, providing sustainable energy solutions for our customers”, Aurel Iulian Diaconu, Technical Director at WALTON ELECTRIC SRL.
