The listing of a 15 percent of Romgaz shares will be done in the next year’s spring, a few months later than the initial deadline of the Economy Ministry.

According to the letter of intention agreed by the Romanian government with the International Monetary Fund (IMF), quoted by Mediafax, the capital for the energy sector will be provided by authorities through the listing of a 10 percent stake in OMV Petrom (on-going), of 15 percent from each Transelectrica and Transgaz by the end of this year and of 15 percent of Romgaz in the spring of next year.

The Economy Ministry had programmed the Romgaz shares listing in December this year, while Transelectrica share package is expected to be placed on the capital market in June.

The Economy Ministry controls some 73,69 percent  of Transelectrica shares, 85 percent of Romgaz, 73,5 percent  from Transgaz and a 20,6 percent  stake in OMV Petrom.
