Junior Achievement Romania, in partnership with Nestlé Romania, have finished another stage in their professional development program “Your Professional Success”, through which they offer pupils and students suggestions and inspirational models for preparation and career progress.

Therefore, in April alone, 1,607 high school students and 283 students from technical, economic and food industry profiles, from 36 cities in total, participated in three online meetings with five Nestlé Romania volunteers where they discussed what choices are necessary to foreshadow a successful professional career.

The theme of the webinars held by Nestlé volunteers was „How to have a successful career” and it included references about how the five colleagues from the company chose their college majors, what they did to differentiate themselves, how they started working, what professional experiences they have gathered and how they have promoted over the years.

“Communication and PR are the key components that shape the image and reputation of each of us, thus succeeding in preparing us for employment. I am grateful to have been able to share my experience with these ambitious young people,” says Irina Siminenco, Corporate Affairs Manager.

“Both myself and the students consider that the session was useful and interesting, things were presented in an honest and practical way, while highlighting connections between hobbies and jobs”– Professor, Ștefan cel Mare Univeristy in Suceava.

“I enjoyed the personal examples of the speakers and the fact that they proposed ways to solve certain problems you may have when applying for a job, such as lack of experience. It gave me the courage to try again” – Student, Dragan Univeristy in Lugoj.

“I liked the fact that the people presented in this webinar were true professionals and were able to share with us career progress experience. I learned a lot of interesting things from them!” – Student, Vasile Lucaciu National College, Baia Mare.

“I liked the stories of the people who talked about career. I was given effective advice that will help me navigate my career after finishing my studies” – Student, Elena Cuza National College, Bucharest.

“Impressive information and professional experience; we enjoyed the well-balanced advice, enthusiasm and openness with which the nutritionist shared her experience with us. Thank you!” – Professor, Costin D. Nenițescu Technical College, Bucharest.

The partnership with Junior Achievement is already in its fourth year and it is part of the global youth initiative “Nestlé Needs YOUth”, through which Nestlé wants to help 10 million young people around the world to have access to career opportunities by 2030. This global initiative combines and coordinates all activities that support young people around the world, including the efforts of the Alliance for YOUth.
