In the context of the artificial intelligence boom, Narada and Zitec are collaborating on the first AI assistant pilot for education. Narada has always been an education innovator and continues this path through various projects. With the rapid global development of AI technology, Narada recognized the need to get involved, research, and test in this domain. The first step involves creating an AI assistant pilot for education, benefiting both students and teachers.

Zitec, as the technological partner, joins the project with a vision to support digital transformation in education and have a positive impact on society. Drawing on its two decades of expertise, Zitec prioritizes the use of the latest and most effective technological solutions. Artificial intelligence becomes a means to simplify the lives of teachers and students by offering contemporary competency assessment solutions.

With an agile, iterative, and incremental approach, the two organizations work as a cohesive team, building an AI assistant pilot that designs assessment tests with minimal input from teachers.

In its current form, the pilot can provide various types of questions (multiple-choice, single-choice, true/false) based on selected chapters by teachers. Currently, the solution addresses Romanian Language and Literature and has the potential to cover other subjects in the future.

Another benefit for teachers using this application is the reduction in time needed to create assessment tests. This saved time can be used to improve the educational process and address various education-related issues. This application is currently in the testing phase, and Narada’s long-term plans involve exploring more technology solutions to reach over 500,000 children in the coming years.

“In Narada, our vision is for every child to have access to education that fulfills their potential. We see technology and the internet as tools to reach as many children as possible, with a significant impact. This is why today, we have over 1,300 alerts on HartaEdu.ro, submitted by over 1,000 teachers, with 282 issues resolved through investments from various companies. Today, we are also experiencing a historic moment – the next level of technological evolution, where Artificial Intelligence applications emerge from the shadows of large companies and researchers to become accessible to the masses. Like any tool, Artificial Intelligence can be used in various ways, and we aim to be among the first to harness its power for good. We expect more organizations to join us,” said Raluca Jianu, CEO of Narada.

Over the next three years, over 47% of learning management tools will be powered by AI. Research shows that 20% to 40% of teachers’ current workload could be automated and enhanced using AI technology, with an AI-powered chatbot able to respond to a student’s question in just 2.7 seconds.

“Our collaboration with Narada on Romania’s first AI pilot project in education is just the beginning. Zitec’s commitment to using state-of-the-art technologies to address specific customer needs has provided effective and scalable solutions over the past 20 years, setting the stage for seamless integration of artificial intelligence. We expect AI to become a standard aid in education, accelerating the transformation of the education industry for the benefit of students and teachers,” said Marius Gherghe, Business Line Director of Continuous Improvement Services at Zitec.
