2,500 students of the Banat National High School will benefit from a renovated canteen through an investment of 70,000 euros from Restart Energy

Restart Energy announces the completion of its latest social involvement project, the complete renovation, with its own funds, of the Banat National High School’s canteen, one of the most prestigious high schools in Timisoara. The investment in the construction, design, and interior decoration work amounts to 70,000 euros.

The Banat National College, which serves 2,500 students, is located in a historic building designed by the Viennese architect Eduart Reiter and has been operating as an educational institution since its inception in 1773.

The refurbishment of the canteen lasted three months. It included both complex construction work (circuit change, replacement of electrical, water, and heating installations, replacement of plaster, radiators, electrical fittings, tiles, etc.) and interior design and fitting, coordinated by a team of architects and an interior design team, under the guidance of Alina Amira El-Hassaina, also a graduate of the Banat National College.

“The refurbishment of the canteen is a joy for all the students of the Banat National College. The modern design and facilities have completely changed this space used daily by over 300 children. We thank Restart Energy for this wonderful project and for constantly supporting education”, says Alexandru Tănăsie, Director of the Banat National High School.

Over the years, Restart Energy has supported various projects in the field of education, such as providing scholarships, equipping schools with modern technology, supporting the ZGRIPTOR project, which won second prize at the NASA Space Settlement Competition in the USA or NASA Space Apps Challenge 2023 global hackathon.
