What recommendations would you have for the Romanian business environment in 2024?

The market experienced a 7% decline in electricity consumption, attributed to decreased industrial production in response to escalating energy expenses. Organizations encountered diverse challenges, compelling them to innovate and devise strategic solutions to navigate the evolving circumstances.

Additionally, the year underscored a substantial emphasis on sustainable practices, marked by clear and resolute messages advocating for decarbonization, green energy adoption, mitigation of energy poverty, and advancements in waste management practices. Notably, the initiation of the SGR in Romania marked a significant step in this direction.

Anticipating heightened competition across various categories, the evolving landscape of Romanian companies is marked by increased innovation and a focused commitment to developing assets and processes. This strategic orientation is aimed at navigating the complexities of the Romanian economic and regulatory terrain and delivering added value for customers and shareholders alike.

The preceding years posed complex challenges to sectors and companies within the Romanian economy, challenging organizational structures to rise to the occasion and undergo significant transformations. The prevailing context necessitated leadership to adopt increasingly disruptive approaches.

In 2023, noteworthy developments included the initiation of commendable projects dedicated to circular economy principles, energy efficiency, and sustainability. This period witnessed the emergence of novel leadership approaches characterized by innovation and adaptability in the face of an unpredictable environment. I am honored to be part such a selected jury beside important business or communication personalities. Each member of the Jury and from the competing companies brought significant changes into the Romanian economic landscape.
