Lidl launches Lidl Plus mobile app, a digital customer loyalty program that offers extra shopping benefits

Lidl launches the mobile application Lidl Plus, the first digital loyalty program of the retailer in Romania. Lidl Plus includes a digital loyalty card and benefits that  include exclusive access to special product offers and weekly promotions, as well as centralized vouchers and digital shopping history. The app can be downloaded for free from Google Play and AppStore.

What are the benefits of Lidl Plus and how can be used?

At the center of the app is the Lidl Plus digital loyalty card, which users must scan at the cash register to enjoy the exclusive benefits of the loyalty program. They are renewed weekly and include:

• Offers – take the form of discounts and promotions that customers can benefit from by scanning the digital card, before making the payment.
• Coupons – through them, customers have access to promotions, percentage discounts or special prices applied to the quantity of products purchased. Coupons are activated from the application menu before scanning the Lidl Plus digital card at the cash register.
• Scratch coupons – they can hide prizes, such as discount coupons with limited validity for various product categories. Customers can receive a digital scratch card after logging in at the Lidl Plus loyalty card and paying for purchases.

In addition to these benefits, the application also offers digital options through which customers can efficiently organize their visit to the store and better monitor their shopping budgets:

• Purchase history – through this feature, customers have access to the purchase history in digital format, which displays all the benefits used, so that they can count the savings made over a period of time by using the application. Moreover, with the help of digital shopping vouchers, customers can return the products without having to keep them in physical format.
• Digital brochures with Lidl offer – customers have access to weekly catalogs, through which they can see what products and offers are available in Lidl stores in the country.

How do customers access the Lidl Plus application?

To register for Lidl Plus, customers must download the app for free from Google Play or AppStore, create an account and select their favorite Lidl store, after which they can enjoy all the benefits it offers. The Lidl Plus application can be used in all Lidl stores in Romania, as well as in other countries where this platform is available.
