pastel organizes the second edition of the pastelZ internship program – the mini-agency that offers young Generation Z the opportunity to get involved in the campaigns of partner brands. Five students from Bucharest have joined the integrated communication agency and will collaborate closely with the senior team in solving the briefs of existing clients and in the pitches that the agency will honor.

pastelZ is a program started by pastel in the summer of 2022 out of a desire to give students, future industry professionals, the opportunity to live a whole experience in an integrated agency. Under the slogan “Fresh ideaz for your brand,” pastelZ creates an ideal framework for exchanging experiences and valuable insights between generations of agency professionals and clients.

pastelZ is the merit of the entire pastel team, willing to provide time, know-how, and enthusiasm for the creative industry, guided simultaneously by the desire to connect with the new wave of creatives. The internship program enjoyed popularity among colleagues in the MARCOM industry, especially among students from the relevant faculties, which was confirmed by the more than 150 CVs received. We are delighted with the progress of this project and grateful for the students’ trust in us. pastelZ continues with five other interns, one of which is in the pastel Association”, declares Dana Nae Popa, owner & managing director at pastel.

While at the first edition of the pastel internship, the agency received around 50 CVs and portfolios, this year, the number of applications has tripled, with 40 of the candidates also completing the work test that verified their creative skills. The students were recruited following several projects involving the agency, such as the Brief Marathon, a project organized by SNSPA, the PR & AD Fair job fairs, or the UB Career Expo.

pastelZ works as a conventional communication agency, integrating Social Media, PR & Influencer Marketing, Creative, and Client Service departments. Claudia Culea, Riana Asiminei, Alexandra Ciobanu, and Antonia Diana Lemnaru are students at the Faculty of Communication and Public Relations, SNSPA, and hold the positions of Intern PR, Intern Social Media, Intern Client Service, and Intern Graphic Designer, respectively. Damiana Cioca, student at the Faculty of Communication and Public Relations, SNSPA, holds the position of Intern within the Pastel Association.

For three months, the pastel and pastelZ teams will physically reunite at the agency’s headquarters, with the five interns having the opportunity to learn, create and have fun with their new colleagues. Furthermore, at the end of the internship program, the agency will offer employment opportunities to students who will perform and integrate the pastel spirit into their DNA. Casandra Murerașu and Bianca Ciortan, interns in the first edition of pastelZ, joined the team, occupying the positions of Social Media Specialist, within the pastel Association and Junior Account, in the pastel agency.

pastelZ is the program that showed me, in-depth, how dynamic and beautiful the communication industry can be. Last year’s experience remains a reference point for my personal and professional path, and I recommend every colleague go through such an initiation process. I am grateful that I am now part of the pastel team, and I wish the best of luck to the new pastelz #2 colleagues”, added Bianca Ciortan, former pastelZ intern and current Junior Account within the pastel agency.
