As of March 2022, Floreasca Emergency Clinical Hospital is endowed with a new ultra-modern post-operative ward, fully equipped with state-of-the-art medical equipment, as a result of a 500,000-euro investment by Apa Nova București (ANB), the water and sewerage services provider of the Municipality of Bucharest.

The new post-operative ward of the hospital has 6 digitalized intensive care beds, with the possibility of expansion to 8. It has been completely refurbished by ANB and equipped with state-of-the-art medical equipment for patients recovering from complex surgery. Patients are admitted here every day, many of them with major emergencies.

The widespread crisis we are going through has underlined the need for the healthcare system to cope with the many emergencies and has once again highlighted the need for medical infrastructure, and the Floreasca Emergency Hospital, which is always in the frontline, has felt this need more than ever before. Apa Nova București, the drinking water and sewage services provider in Bucharest, has always been involved in supporting the communities in which it operates and, in the current pandemic context, we considered it necessary to get involved as a provider of essential services by developing an important medical project for the residents in Bucharest and beyond. We thus acknowledge the great efforts made by the healthcare professionals during all this time, we are grateful for their dedication and hard word, and we try, through this approach, to show once again that we support contemporary heroes – the doctors. At the same time, we assure them that we will be there for them whenever they need us“, said Mădălin Mihailovici, CEO Apa Nova București.

State-of-the-art equipment significantly improves the quality of care, increases the technical performance of the medical unit, and provides optimal monitoring, treatment and recovery possibilities.

The Floreasca Emergency Hospital has, as of this month, the most efficient post-operative ward in the country, for patients recovering from complex surgery. Due to the full support and involvement of Apa Nova București, the space allocated to the patients’ recovery has been completely refurbished, extended and modernized. It was also equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, in line with the highest standards of care. Thus, the patients will have all the necessary medical and human conditions and their recovery time is greatly improved“, said Dr. George Jinescu, Medical Coordinator of the project at Floreasca Emergency Hospital.

The new post-operative ward at Floreasca Emergency Hospital is one of the initiatives launched by Apa Nova in the previous years to support the medical community. In March 2020, as a sign of solidarity with the people of Bucharest, but especially with the efforts made by the healthcare professionals and the authorities, the company connected the Mobile Military Hospital to the water supply network in a few days. Around 100 specialists worked around the clock to install 3 kilometres of piping to supply hot and cold water and to configure the wastewater disposal system, as the medical unit in the courtyard of the Ana Aslan National Institute has a professional supply and disposal system.
