The National Agency for Employment (ANOFM) has launched the Electronic Registry for internship contracts, and host organisations (companies where interns carry out their activity based on a contract) must submit all internship contracts to the platform.
Access to the Registry is done based on an own, free password. Instructions for use can also be found in the same place.
“According to law 176/2018 on internships, host organisations will fill out and send contract data to the registry before the intern’s activity begins. Any change in the company data or in the internship contract will be submitted to the registry in a maximum of 3 working days from the change,” said ANOFM in a statement.
Failing to record internship contracts and related data is a misdemeanor and will lead to fines between RON 2,000 and 4,000.
Internships are designed for individuals over 16 years old and are carried out over a limited period in a host organisation. The purpose of this activity is for the intern to strengthen their theoretical knowledge, improve their practical skills and/or gain new skills or knowledge.
