Zitec, a leader in the Romanian IT & digital marketing market, specializing in digital transformation solutions and services, announces the development of a connector application that allows the synchronization of online stores from the VTEX enterprise digital commerce platform with the eMAG Marketplace.

The application was developed for VTEX and is available for free in the digital commerce platform’s ecosystem for partner stores that have an eMAG Marketplace seller account.

Zitec’s solution connects stores developed on the VTEX platform with the eMAG Marketplace, providing automatic synchronization and updates between the store and the marketplace for product information, stocks, transactions, price changes, and orders.

For instance, if a retailer adds a new product to their VTEX admin panel, the application can list it on the eMAG platform without requiring additional updates. On the other hand, when a retailer receives an order from eMAG, it will be transmitted to their VTEX online store, and the store’s administrator can view all order details directly in the VTEX platform. Retailers can select which products or product categories to list through a simple mapping process in the application.

“Countries are increasingly embracing marketplaces, with numerous brands choosing to expand their presence through these platforms to gain more visibility and open new sales channels. In this context, we’ve created a new connector application that offers our clients the ability to easily access and manage a new sales channel. We are pleased that Zitec is supporting us in growing businesses that choose VTEX’s digital commerce solutions,” stated Cristi Movilă, Eastern Europe General Manager & EMEA Sales Leader at VTEX.

According to the development team, the main advantages for online stores include the option to sell and expand their product offerings on two platforms, cost efficiency, visibility to a new customer base not only in Romania but also in markets like Bulgaria, Poland, or Hungary (countries where eMAG operates), and centralized management of orders and sales for both platforms in one place.

“Adopting marketplace solutions is crucial in the sales strategy of any online store. Global statistics show that 56% of online retailers prefer to sell through marketplaces, experiencing 38% more sales than those relying solely on their online store. Therefore, companies investing in flexible eCommerce platforms that allow quick integrations with marketplaces have a significant competitive advantage. Through our partnership with VTEX, we offer online stores not only a high-performance eCommerce solution but also the possibility of seamless integration with eMAG Marketplace,” stated Alexandru Dobre, eCommerce Director at Zitec.

With 20 years of experience in business solutions development, Zitec currently provides eCommerce services for important clients in Romania and other European countries. The company’s portfolio includes brands like Flanco, Brico Dépôt, iELM, Agrii Romania, and Arctic.

Since 2019, Zitec has been one of the implementation partners of VTEX, the enterprise digital commerce platform that enables brands and retailers to manage their global commerce operations.
