Madalin-Cristian Vasilcoiu, Secretary of State in the Ministry of Labor and Social Solidarity, will take the stage at the Working Romania #futureofwork Autumn 2023 Conference. The highly anticipated event will take place on September 15, at Courtyard by Marriott Bucharest Floreasca, starting at 10:30.

The Secretary of State will take part in the first panel and will focus on essential matters like the effects of the abortion of taxation facilities, the changes in the regulations for the SMM, the effect of the increasing foreign workforce in Romania, and the 2023 trends for the local workforce market.

“The general trend in the EU, as in our country, is that the new generations, much better prepared professionally and educationally, no longer accept unskilled jobs. They want more, it’s normal to want more, both professionally and financially, and these positions remain unfilled. Including in the HoReCa area we find these problems, and now it is almost impossible to go to a restaurant and not find at least one employee from Asia, including on the serving side.

The second trend in the EU is to look for solutions to produce more and more locally, to stop depending on imports from the Asian area. Obviously, labor will be needed to produce. The products will be more expensive at first, but things will adjust over time. But again labor is needed and a market as open as possible will be needed. It also depends on how quickly the war in Ukraine ends, that a good part of the well-qualified labor force can come.” Cristian Vasilcoiu said at the Spring edition of Working Romania 2023.

Don’t miss the opportunity to hear Madalin-Cristian Vasilcoiu and other industry experts at the Working Romania Autumn 2023 Conference. Join us at Courtyard by Marriott Bucharest Floreasca, on September 15 to gain valuable knowledge and find out more about the industry.
