Geanina Ungureanu, CPI Property Group: We support everything that means Romanian business

Attending the BR Awards, Geanina Ungureanu, Head of Retail at CPI Property Group Romania, spoke about supporting local brands, awarded in the Best Romanian Brand of the Year, and showed that 2024 is more optimistic in terms of consumption than last year.

“We support local brands, we are proud to have local and national retailers in our tenant mix and especially with decades of experience in the Romanian market. And in our regional centres, in our malls we have retailers that are local and that we support. In general, we support everything that means Romanian business.

In 2023 we have recovered a little bit after several trials, not only in retail. 2024 is going to be a year full of opportunities, on the sustainability side, as well as on the digitalization side. In retail we are convinced that these directions will be the main ones and we will definitely invest in them.

There is optimism on the consumer side because inflation has stagnated, even decreased, and prices will probably be more consumer friendly, that’s why I think consumption will grow more this year than last year.”
