Newsroom 04/02/2011 | 17:43

Bon Jovi have announced on their official website that they will hold a concert in Bucharest next year, in Piata Constitutiei, the same venue that hosted the AC/DC performance in Romania, this year, supported by 60,000 fans. The date of the event is set for July 10 and for the moment, the pre-sale date for ticket purchase is December 10, but only for fan club members, as bonjovi.com informs.

The concert in Romania is part of the 135 shows held in The Circle Tour, started in February 2010, including 30 countries. The tour promotes the band’s most recent album, “The Circle”, released in 2009.

With a history of 27 years, Bon Jovi is one of the best known and consistent American rock (or so-called “glam rock”) bands in history. Bon Jovi means lead singer Jon Bon Jovi (John Francis Bongiovi, Jr.), guitarist Richie Sambora, keyboardist David Bryan, drummer Tico Torres, as well as current bassist Hugh McDonald, a line-up that has not suffered important changes throughout time.

UPDATE: Tickets for the concert have officially been put on sale. Fees range between RON 130 and 480. The first 2,000 lawn tickets will be sold for RON 138.5. Afterwards, their price will reach RON 159.8. Normal circle tickets cost RON 186.4, while Golden Circle tickets cost RON 298.2. VIP tickets are either RON 479.3 or RON 372.8. Tickets are available for purchase in the Eventim chain, on www.eventim.ro.
