Cultural Institutes across Bucharest prepare 50 events to cool off on a summeraa‚¬a„¢s night

The fifth edition of the Night of the Cultural Institutes brings more than 14 hours of events in eight locations across Bucharest. It will take place on the night of Friday to Saturday, June 24, an occasion with which bicycles will be made available to eager nocturnal culture aficionados, and several RATB transport lines will function in the city center.

A project developed by EUNIC in Romania, the Night of Cultural Institutes includes events proposed by the British Council, Czech Center, Hungarian Cultural Centre, the Austrian Cultural Forum, Greek Cultural Foundation, Goethe Institute, Cervantes Institute, Camões Institute / Embassy of Portugal, Romanian Cultural Institute, French Institute, Italian Cultural Institute Vito Grasso, Polish Institute and Wallonie-Brussels Delegation. The coordinator of this year’s edition is the Austrian Cultural Forum.

The Romanian Cultural Institute (RCI) expects visitors starting 7.30 PM (19.30) in a cultural enterprise that will engage in a six-hour marathon organized in partnership with the Greek Cultural Foundation, the Camões Institute/Embassy of Portugal and the Delegation of Wallonie-Bruxelles. During this event are programmed: film screenings, presentation of books, dance performances, concerts, exhibitions of book, fine arts, photography, bilingual readings, fashion shows, popular games in the UK, etc.
Among the events, there will be Polish and Hungarian cuisine fairs, tasting of Italian typical products, nuts and roasted almonds, Armenian coffee and cognac, delicatessen, jams prepared according to bio recipes, without artificial preservatives, made from oranges, lemons, tangerines, almonds and cumin, informs www.icr.ro.

British Council invites guests to to discover the sound of British music, from the Renaissance age to the newest sounds of today. The event will kick-off with discounts for the @British library memberships. UK popular board games, a brit-quiz, a DJ show and late-at-night viewing of British documentaries awarded at international festivals are also on the menu.
Bicycles will be made available by organizers in partnership with Green Revolution for those wishing to see as many instates as possible (email office@austriacult-bucuresti.ro for reservations).

The buses will circulate between 20.00 and 4.00. They will pass through the following stations Piata Presei Libere, Kiseleff Boulevard, Constantin Prezan Boulevard, Aviatorilor Boulevard, Lascar Catargiu Boulevard, Dacia Boulevard, Vasile Lascar Boulevard, Armand Calinescu Street, returning through Carol I Boulevard, Nicolae Balcescu Boulevard, Gheorghe Magheru Boulevard, Lascar Catargiu Boulevard, Aviatorilor Boulevard, Constantin Prezan Boulevard, Alexandru Constantinescu Street, Marasti Boulevard, Expozitiei Boulevard, Piata Presei Libere.
