Austrian-born photographer Inge Morath’s exhibit “My Romanian Diary” will be showcased at Muzeul Taranului Roman (The Romanian Peasant’s Museum), starting on September 2.
Inge Morath (1923 – 2002), who has created for Magnum Photo Agency, came to Romania on various occasions. She studied here in 1943, and afterwards repeatedly returned, in 1958, 1967 and 1994. As a result, Morat took 1000 photographs that have not been publicized yet and also kept a diary of her Romanian experience.
The exhibit taking place between September 2 and October 17 at Muzeul Taranului Roman comprises 133 of Inge Morath’s works representative of Romania. “My Romanian Diary” will be open for visits from Tuesday to Sunday, between 10 and 6 in the afternoon.
