Medieval, Renaissance and Baroque unite at Bucharest Early Music Festival

This year’s Early Music Festival will take place between October 30 and November 1, featuring musical pieces of Medieval, Renaissance and Baroque origin. The festival will be staged at Ateneul Roman (the Romanian Athenaeum) and this year’s run is dedicated to the work of Johann Sebastian Bach, as 2010 marks 325 years since the composer’s birth. On October 30, the spectacle “Magnificat anima mea Dominum” will take place, on October 31, “At the Court of the Noble Harpsichord” will hold center stage, while on November 1, “Angel Voices” will be the day’s show, all starting at 19.00. Tickets cost RON 20, 40 or 65 and will go on sale in the Eventim chain.
