The likes of Bamboleo, Djobi, Djoba, Baila Me or Volare are bound to echo through the halls of Sala Palatului, in Bucharest, on April 9. Gipsy Kings have included Romania in their 2010-2011 World Tour, which began last year in July, in Los Angeles and continued in Montreal, New York, Chicago, Dallas, Holywood, Zagreb, Berlin and Moscow, ending on May 7, this year, in Budapest.
Formed in 1987, the band has suffered some lineup changes, but has remained constant in its musical style, mixing flamenco with strong gipsy music influences. Formed of eight members, Gipsy Kings is the result of the union of two families that performed at weddings and parties, the Reyes and the Baliardos.
Tickets range between RON 50 and 300. They are available online, on www.biletoo.ro and offline, from Adevarul libraries across the country, Eminescu library, Victoria Shoping Center – Midola Music, Muzica Store, Palatul National al Copiilor, Unirea Shopping Center and Unirii 1 subway station.
