Bucharest continues to celebrate its 551st birthday this weekend with various manifestations in the historical center, Arthur Verona Street, Roma, Constitutiei and George Enescu Square, Morii Lake and across many other locations. So, in case you have not made any other plans for this warm autumn weekend, here is what you might consider attending in the city:
On Saturday, September 18, there will be an air show, starting at 11.00 and ending at 15.00 on Lacul Morii (Morii Lake, situated in the Crangasi area, near the park). In the historical city center, fanfares from all across the country will offer an engaging music show, while, in the evening, at the Constitutiei Square, at 21.00, Rock Loves Chopin will commence festivities.
On Sunday, September 19, in the George Enescu Square, Neri Per Caso, a vocal acapella group will hold a concert starting 21.30. In the opening, starting at 20.30, Horia Brenciu & Band will be entertaining the audience. On the stage in the historical center (on Strada Franceza), starting at 18.30 there will be the performance of Romania’s 2010 Eurovision participants, Paula Seling & Ovi, as well as Ozana Barabancea and Proconsul.
