Andre Rieu’s concert, broadcast live for Bucharest audiences

On July 23, the Bucharest audience will have the chance of seeing “King of Waltz” Andre Rieu (in picture) in concert, through a special event organized by the Light Cinema.

The Dutch violinist, conductor, and composer has sold over 2.5 million CDs and DVDs in his home country and over 20 million throughout the world. He is known for his desire to make classical music more accessible and has often succeeded this. His “Second Waltz” stayed in the top 10 of his country for a whole year.

Rieu’s performance, together with Johann Strauss Orchestra, will be broadcast live by the Romanian cinema from Maastricht, the artist’s hometown, where he yearly holds a concert, at 21.00. A ticket costs RON 50.
