What are your main achievements within the company since you hold this position?

Our journey has been marked by significant achievements, reflecting our dedication to not just advancing healthcare technology but also nurturing a culture that values each individual’s contribution.

Our belief in our people as our greatest asset has led us to prioritize team development. By implementing targeted training programs, creating mentorship opportunities, and promoting a culture of continuous learning, we’ve witnessed a transformation in employee engagement and performance. Our teams have grown into a close-knit community, inspiring each other towards excellence and innovation.

Understanding the dynamic nature of the healthcare industry, we embarked on a strategic re-evaluation to ensure our goals align with the evolving needs of the market and our customers. This process involved thorough market research and collaboration with key stakeholders, allowing us to refine our strategic direction and reinforce our position as pioneers in healthcare innovation.

Navigating change is a challenge in the fast-paced healthcare sector. We’ve approached change management with empathy, focusing on clear communication and transparency to support our employees. As we move forward, our commitment to these values remains unwavering, guiding us towards even greater accomplishments in the future.

In your opinion what makes a woman to be successful in business?

In my opinion, a woman’s success in business is multifaceted, rooted in a combination of intrinsic qualities, external support systems and the resilience to navigate through gender-specific challenges. Firstly, determination and passion are critical. A successful businesswoman is someone who is deeply committed to her goals and is passionate about her work. This drive fuels perseverance, allowing her to push through obstacles.

Secondly, adaptability and continuous learning play a significant role as the business landscape is constantly evolving, and the ability to adapt to new trends, technologies and methodologies is vital. A successful woman in business is a lifelong learner who seeks out opportunities for growth and is not afraid to pivot her approach when necessary.

Another key element is the strength in leadership and communication. Effective leadership involves inspiring and motivating teams, setting clear visions and making strategic decisions.

Networking and mentorship are also crucial: building a robust network provides support, opens up opportunities and facilitates knowledge exchange. Mentorship, both in seeking mentors and mentoring others, is invaluable for personal and professional development.

However, beyond these qualities and strategies, what often sets successful women in business apart is their ability to navigate and challenge the gender biases and systemic barriers that exist in the business world. This includes advocating for gender equity, balancing professional and personal responsibilities, and supporting other women in their business endeavours.

In essence, while skills, intelligence and strategies are foundational, the defining traits of a successful woman in business are often her resilience, ability to inspire change and the courage to break through ceilings, all while paving the way for future generations of women leaders.

What is your major professional achievement in your entire career?

One of the most profound lessons I’ve learned throughout my career is that the magnitude of an achievement is often a matter of perspective and circumstance. What might appear as a modest success in the moment can indeed be the cornerstone for significant breakthroughs in the future. Reflecting on my journey with Siemens Healthineers, if I were to pinpoint my major professional achievement, it would not solely be a specific project or a breakthrough in healthcare technology, but rather, it would be cultivating an environment that fosters continuous innovation, collaboration, and personal growth within our organization.

Setting up a culture that prizes innovation and collaboration has been instrumental in not only driving our company forward but also in paving the way for sustainable success. This environment has enabled us to launch cutting-edge healthcare solutions that significantly improve patient care and outcomes. It has also facilitated a workspace where every team member feels valued, heard and motivated to pursue excellence.

Moreover, establishing a foundation for continuous learning and development within Siemens Healthineers has been a key achievement. By investing in our people, encouraging mentorship and promoting a culture of continuous improvement, we’ve not only seen remarkable growth in our employees’ engagement and performance but also in their ability to innovate and adapt to the ever-evolving healthcare landscape.

In essence, while the development and launch of groundbreaking healthcare technologies stand as tangible achievements, the creation and nurturing of an organizational culture that perpetuates these innovations represent my most significant professional accomplishment. It’s this culture that has enabled numerous ‘small’ successes to cumulate into major milestones, setting the stage for our long-term impact on the healthcare industry.
