For a new “Outstanding Women in Business” interview, showcased in the Business Review Magazine’s March 2024 edition, we talked with Alina Savin, Founding Lawyer at Savin & Associatii. Alina delves into her role as a legal pioneer, discussing her integral contributions to the success of Savin & Associatii. With a focus on legal expertise and innovative solutions, she shares insights into navigating the dynamic legal landscape.

What are your main achievements within the company since you hold this position?

I have been in the position of founding lawyer since the very beginning. It dates to 2011 when our practice was called Pop, Savin & Asociatii up until today when we are called Savin& Asociatii. My experience in the Romanian legal landscape spans for over 20 years, with significant expertise in business law. More recently, we have focused on assisting individuals during the management of personal assets. This is an area where our practice has gained a rich expertise.

I believe that achievements are mainly reflected by the way we have evolved as professionals, a fact confirmed by our clients who have remained with us over the years.

In your opinion, what makes a woman to be successful in business?

Given the fact that my legal experience is predominantly in business law as well as considering that I founded and have been managing the law practice Savin & Asociatii, I can also think of myself as a businesswoman. In general, I believe successful women, irrespective of their activity, should have a continuous desire to learn, to study, to be empathetic, ethical, and finally, to have a sense of reality. Especially in our business, it is paramount to clearly present to clients the situations they are facing. Ultimately, being successful means to make things happen, ex machina!

Success does not come easy and is not for granted. In my case, founding and managing a law practice is a personal project I have been working on for years and I find myself lucky to have by my side a team of professionals with whom we move things forward.

What is your major professional achievement in your entire career?

It’s impossible for me to name just one achievement because thus I should give examples and it wouldn’t seem fair. All our professional experiences have been unique, even if they haven’t been high-profile projects or well-known in the market. Just to give some examples, without limiting myself here, I would like to mention our legal assistance in achieving the first biometric passport in Romania, representation of investment funds with assets of over 5.3 billion euros, legal assistance, and representation for key players in the pharmaceutical, hospitality, real estate, insurance, and banking industries.
