Secom posted an increase of 43 percent in its turnover in the first quarter of 2010 on the same period of last year, to RON 3.657 million. The result confirms the repositioning of the firm as importer of a wide range of organic products for the Romanian market and boosts the company in its aim to double both its market share and number of customers.

“In the context of a falling market – as units sold – Secom posted an increase of 75 percent of its turnover last year on 2008. For us it is a sign that people are starting to select the organic products they buy more carefully and look for original products with the optimal concentration of active ingredients. They are no longer satisfied by surrogates or imitations,” said Andrei Costea, managing partner of Secom.

The firm is now importing exclusively 105 products of different kinds, including Nature’s Way, Jarrow Formulas, Solaray and Childlife Essentials.
