William Grant & Sons has expanded its brand portfolio by taking over C&C International. The former’s official local distributor is Cristalex. Recently, it acquired C&C International at a global level, and the transaction was concluded on July 1. The firm was rebranded as William Grant & Sons Irish Brands Ltd.
Following the deal, the company took on the brands Tullamore Dew, Carolans, Frangelico and Irish Mist, which will be developed in the future. In Romania, the transaction will not affect the balance among the main importers of alcoholic drinks as Cristalex is distributor for both William Grant and Sons and for Carolans and Tullamore Dew.
Cristalex was founded in 2004 and distributes brands such as Campari, SKYY Vodka, Cutty Sark, Teacher’s, Jim Beam, Maker’s Mark, Aperol, Cinzano, Grant’s, Glenfiddich, The Balvenie, Courvoisier, Russian Standard and Pommery.
