French new wave, bossa nova and lounge group Nouvelle Vague (literally “new wave” in French, like “bossa nova” in Portuguese) will hold a concert in Romania on November 22. The French group, which consists of Marc Collin and Olivier Libaux, managed to sell over 500,000 copies of their first two albums, with their most recent one reportedly doing as well. This will be the band’s third visit to Romania.
Initially known for covers of songs by Joy Division, The Clash, The Cure, Depeche Mode and Billy Idol, Nouvelle Vague have extended their musical palette to reggae, ska and blues.
The concert will take place at Sala Palatului and is part of the Fusion Nights series of events this autumn in Bucharest. Tickets range between RON 65 and 185 and are available in the Diverta store chain, at Sala Palatului, Mihai Eminescu book shop and online, on www.myticket.ro.
