Daniel Timofei was appointed General Manager of security company Rosegur, being the first Romanian to hold this position.
This year, the new GM’s main aim is to develop the business. “Even though security services now represent 60 percent of Rosegur’s activity in 2011, I have proposed to re-asses business and development opportunities, by re-guiding the company towards domains with more opportunities such as the transportation of high-value assets and monitoring services. At the same time, we will invest in a cash-processing center in Bucharest,” said Timofei.
Rosegur is a company that resulted following the 2005 fusion between Spanish company Prosegur and GED Eastern Fund II. Prosegur is listed on the Madrid Stock Exchange with a market capitalization in excess of EUR 2.6 billion, posting revenues of more than EUR 2 billion in 12 countries.
The company now has 22 offices in Romania, providing services such as security, monitoring and rapid intervention in the case of transporting valuable items and money processing.
“I believe there are misconceptions regarding the market of security services in Romania. Our main aim is that, through the services we offer, we will improve the way this domain is perceived,” said Timofei.
