Forty artists from the African continent will offer a mixture of acrobatics, juggling acts, contortionism, music and traditional dances through a circus spectacle taking place in Bucharest, at Sala Palatului, on February 27.
The artists in the show come from Tanzania, Ethiopia, Kenya, Sudan, Egypt and South Africa. One of the show’s highlights will be an African Rola-Rola act, where the artists balance on a shelf “standing” a roll and show state-of-the-art acrobatic skills. Favorites of the public from the last tours, the contortionists Lazaro and Hasani from Kenya and the Ramadani Brothers, presenting hand-in hand artistic from Tanzania, will also be in the show.
The “InAfrica Band will be playing sounds from Africa and from all over the world. The traditional sound, played with the “Kora” an instrument that comes from the African West Coast. With its 20 strings it sounds like a mixture between guitar and harp. Three beautiful ladies from South Africa and Zimbabwe are the lead singers, creating a warm and powerful sound together with the InAfrica Band.
