Prominent music figure Moby is returning to Romania in August, as part of The Mission Dance Weekend taking place in seaside hotspot, Navodari. Moby has been to Romania two times before, both in Bucharest: in 1996, at Sala Polivalent and in 2009, at B’estfest festival.
Moby, whose birth name is Richard Melville Hall, has been writing music since the age of 9. Over time, he is known to have taken on a series of styles in his music, from rock, punk and heavy metal to dance, techno and ambient. Moby first became known as a DJ and his first hit was Go, in 1991. He has sold over 20 million records worldwide and has collaborated, throughout time, with the likes of Sophie Elis Bextor, Britney Spears, Gwen Stefani or Kelis and has remixed music by David Bowie, Metallica, The Beastie Boys or Public Enemy.
Moby’s most recent album, Destroyed, will be released this May. Until then, the EP Be The One may be downloaded for free on www.moby.com.
