Bucharest’s first fish market to be built in Militari neighborhood

Construction of the first fish market in the capital will start next year in the Militari neighborhood in Bucharest’s District 6, according to a decision of the City Council. The market will be located onValea Lunga Street on a 2,000 sqm plot of land.

In addition to sales areas the construction will also have office facilities.

Building such a market was necessary and the project is part of larger strategy to modernize the district’s markets, said Rares Manescu, the mayor of District 6.
