South Korean consortium interested in construction works for Cernavoda Units 3 and 4

Korean Nuclear, a South Korean consortium  is interested in construction works of reactors 3 and 4 at the Cernavoda nuclear power plant, the Ministry of Economy has announced on Friday after receiving a letter of intent from BKB Co. Ltd., the consortium’s leader company.

“The company states its firm intent to buy shares of EnergoNuclear, the company which builds the Cernavoda Units 3 and 4,” reads a press release from the ministry.

Representatives of the South Korean consortium will come to Bucharest to discuss the matter with local authorities, the ministry has announced, without giving a clear calendar.
