Mihai Tudor, 51, who has served since January 2011 as general manager of the South East Europe, left the company at the end of May, according to Ziarul Financiar daily.
After 18 years spent on various positions at IBM, which also included general manager of the Romanian branch, Tudor decided to take a break from the career, during which time he will consider whether to join another multinational or start out on his own.
“In any professional relation there are moments when you feel you need to take a break, especially in an industry as competitive as IT,” said Tudor for the financial daily.
Starting with July 2006 until December 2010, Tudor was general manager of IBM Romania. In 2001, he was responsible for business in Central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Between 1998 and 2011, he served as sales director of IBM Romania.
