Mega Image opens two new stores today

Belgian retailer Mega Image continues expansion by opening two more stores today in Bucharest – a supermarket covering 325 sqm at 5, Romancierilor Street and a Shop&Go proximity store with a surface of 100 sqm at 24 Dumbrava Noua Street.

So far this year, the retailer has opened 22 new stores, taking its national network to 127 outlets – Mega Image supermarkets and Shop&Go proximity stores. By comparison, Mega Image opened 33 new stores in 2011 and 21 the previous year.

In 2010 the Belgian retailer reported a turnover of EUR 210 million, up 45 percent y-o-y.
