Lil Uzi Vert, the American rapper who received the diamond record, comes to Romania for the first time, at the neversea festival. J Balvin, the most listened to Latin artist, returns to Romania this year at the Neversea. Lost Frequencies, Steve Aoki, Tujamo, Paul Kalkbrenner, Claptone and many others will be in the line-up.

Composer and artist, promoter of the emo rap style, who surprised with his face tattoos, eccentric hairstyles and androgynous clothing, LIL UZI VERT will perform for the first time on the main stage of NEVERSEA festival. Also hitting the mainstage this year for a live show that will make even the waves of the sea vibrate to Latin beats is J BALVIN, the global icon with the most-watched video by a Latin artist of all time: over 1.8 billion views.

Less than 3 months left until the most anticipated festival on the Black Sea: NEVERSEA. Internationally renowned artists and world-leading DJs such as Lost Frequencies, Claptone, Paul Kalkbrenner, Steve Aoki, Tujamo, duo Vini Vici join the already announced names at Europe’s biggest festival on a beach, which will take place in Constanta on Neversea Beach from 6-9 July 2023.

The anniversary edition of NEVERSEA brings internationally acclaimed artists and the world’s top DJs to the 5 stages

J BALVIN will take to the NEVERSEA main stage for the first time for an explosive show full of colour, energy and Latin beats. J Balvin is the Colombian with an impressive career, who, despite listening to Nirvana and Metallica as a child, fell in love with reggaeton music after discovering Daddy Yankee. He started singing at the age of 19 with his good friend David Rivera Mazo on the streets of Medellin, and in 2009 he signed his first contract with EMI Colombia, with whom he released the single “Ella Me Cautivo”, which reached number 37 on the Billboard Tropical Songs Chart.

The last few years have been extraordinary for the Colombian artist. In 2015, he won 3 Billboard Latin Music Awards trophies, and in 2016, he became the first Latin artist to be awarded a Diamond Disc. A year later, the video for the single “Mi gente” surpassed 3 billion views on Youtube and was NO. 1 on the Spotify Global chart. In 2018, he released, alongside Cardi B and Bad Bunny, the single “I Like It”, which propelled him to #1 on the official US Billboard Hot 100, and in 2020, his album “Oasis”, released in collaboration with Bad Bunny in 2019, was nominated for 3 Grammy awards.

The year 2023 came with a new challenge for activation in the Music Metaverse, and superstar J Balvin prepared his first VR concert in partnership with Meta and iHeartRadio. “Futurum” premiered on February 17 this year and was a hit, a 180-degree VR experience.

The NEVERSEA festival main stage is set for a premiere: LIL UZI VERT. The artist became known in underground culture with the release of a mixtape, “Luv Is Rage” in 2015, and a year later he gained mainstream attention with his debut single “Money Longer,” a track that has over 579 million listens on the Spotify platform. Collaborations with Gucci Mane followed, as well as with Migos, with whom he released the single “Bad and Boujee”, which led to his first appearance on the official US Billboard Hot 100 chart, a single that was also awarded 4 Platinum Records.

This success was followed by “XO Tour Llif3” – the promotional single for Lil Uzi Vert’s debut album “Luv Is Rage 2”, which debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200. The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) certified the album with six Platinum Records, and Lil Uzi Vert was nominated for a 2018 Grammy Award in the Best New Artist category and was a guest of The Weekend on the Canadian artist’s European tour.

STEVE AOKI has shown a passion for new technologies and virtual reality. The artist is coming to the NEVERSEA festival again this year to treat fans to his cake with the first ray of sunrise. Besides being a DJ, fashion designer, entrepreneur, Aoki is also a visionary NFT, so in 2022 he launched A0K1VERSE, offering the community real and virtual experiences. Grammy-nominated producer Steve Aoki entered the Guinness World Book of Records in 2014 for most live appearances.

A mystery figure completes the festival line-up. CLAPTONE, who at each of his appearances is protected by his golden mask, is the artist who every time surprises with his house and tech house influenced music show. CLAPTONE has two record-selling albums in his discography: ‘Charmer’ (2015) and ‘Fantast’ (2018), and in 2021, he released the album ‘Closer’, which also involves surprise collaborations with artists such as Seal, James Vincent, McMorrow, Like Mike, Peter Bjorn & John and Mayer Hawthorne.

Considered the revelation of the EDM movement, Belgium’s LOST FREQUENCIES is set to give fans an unforgettable live show this summer at NEVERSEA. The artist has 10 Platinum Award-winning singles and over 1 billion streams on Spotify. The single “Where are you now”, released in collaboration with UK’s Calum Scott, earned him a Platinum, Gold and Diamond Record for units sold in 16 countries worldwide, including the US and UK.

A surprise on the NEVERSEA mainstage is the presence of one of the techno genre’s most innovative artists, PAUL KALKBRENNER, who has dominated underground culture for the past 20 years. He was the first techno artist to hit the mainstage of a festival and was invited by the German Federal Government to participate as an official artist in the commemoration of the 25th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall, an event attended by 400,000 people.

He was also the first artist to have unlimited access to the Sony Legacy library, which allowed him to use samples of iconic tracks from Luther Vandross and Jefferson Airplane for his album “7”.

Paul Kalkbrenner has three No.1 albums with Top 10 hits, with over 1.9 million singles sold. The masterpiece single, “Sky & Sand” remains the most charted single by a German artist on the Beatport chart, 112 weeks. In live appearances, such as this summer’s NEVERSEA, the German takes his audience on a journey through art, ecstasy, hope and love.

The two members of the psy-trance project VINI VICI, Aviram Saharai and Matan Kadosh, are taking to the NEVERSEA festival stage this summer. Their first single, ‘Divine Mode’, released with Iboga Records, was a huge hit and the pair went on to produce tracks that have reached the underground charts. VINI VICI’s success continued with the remix version of “Hilight Tribe – Free Tibet”, which reached #2 on the official Beatport chart, the first time a psy track has reached the Top 10 and has over 141 million hits on Spotify, a feat for an underground production.

Along with the names filling out this year’s main stage at NEVERSEA, organizers also announced the first artists to take the Daydreaming stage at the festival. Day Dreamers (Marwan Dua, Woodnote & DUb FX), Hernan Cattaneo B2B Nick Warren, Jan Blomqvist, Maga, Marwan Dua, Matthew Dekay B2B Yokoo, Paax (Tulum), Pablo Fierro and Sebastien Leger will make the four nights and four sunrises spent on Neversea Beach make fans fall in love with the sun, the sea, the music and experience a summer of a lifetime.

More than 150 artists are expected to perform at this year’s NEVERSEA festival, and fans can purchase 4-day passes for the fifth edition of Neversea from EUR 99 plus tax for General Access Basic, EUR 119 for General Access Risk Free, and EUR 239 plus tax for VIP. Through the UNDER21 programme, aimed at young people under 21, passes and group packages can be purchased at special prices, more info here: mystory.in-town.ro/students-pack. Tickets are available at neversea.com/tickets. Festival pass prices will increase from 26 April 2023. The anniversary edition of NEVERSEA festival takes place this year from 6 to 9 July on Neversea Beach in Constanta, Romania. Over 150 artists will perform on the five stages of the festival, which will last 4 colourful days and 4 white nights, setting the pace for this year’s entertainment.
