Cargus expands its national Ship & GO network in four new cities in Romania

Cargus continues to develop the national Ship & Go network and is dedicated to every aspect of e-commerce in Romania. The innovative system of delivery and collection points, together with the complex of services available to customers and end recipients, makes deliveries increasingly simple and satisfying for all buyers.  

By connecting online stores with more and easier delivery options, Cargus helps increase online retailers’ sales while providing an efficient delivery service that attracts customers and leads  to shopper loyalty.

The main pillar of the expansion project are ship & go partners.  Through them, Cargus has successively expanded the network of delivery and collection points, being present, at the moment, in more than 10 cities in Romania. In November 2021 there were 200 Ship & Go centers in Romania, and in February this year the point with the number 500 was already opening, inside The Molecule Effect café in Bucharest.

In March, four new major cities are added: Iasi, Bacau, Ploiesti and Oradea, the Ship & Go network reaching 750 partner centers, at national level. Cargus aims to launch next month a new series of partnerships for the opening of Ship & Go points in Bistrita, Arad, Sibiu, Craiova and Braila.  The development of the network of Click & Collect points is a response to the growing expectations of retail customers, mainly  eCommerce, who are interested not only in deliveries to the address, but also  in PUDO-type points, in proximity, from where their buyers can pick up their products, conveniently at any time of the day.

“It is an important step towards achieving our goal of building a national network of 2000 Ship & Go points (PUDO) by the end of this year and at the same time providing a sustainable delivery service that helps reduce Cargus’ carbon footprint.

The location of the centers and the selection of partners are strategic for us. We choose partners who operate in areas with heavy traffic, where people work,  shop or relax, notorious locations, open until late at night,” said Jarosław Śliwa, CEO of Cargus.

At all Ship & Go points in the country, the end-recipients benefit from delivery on the next working day from the moment the Cargus courier took possession of the package and they have up to 5 working days to pick up their parcels, if they choose from the beginning a Ship & Go point as a delivery destination.

The Ship & Go network plays an important role in home deliveries also as part of dynamic re-routing and advised deliveries, because it offers flexibility and speed in shipping and picking up packages.  Deliveries can be dynamically managed and redirected to a preferred Ship & Go point through the Cargus Mobile app – from the individual Cargus account, through the landing page on the site or directly through the courier.

In the Ship & Go network, the innovative link payment solution is also available, which represents a premiere on the courier market in Romania, facilitating fast and secure online payment, without cash, for ramburs delivery. Thus, Cargus further simplifies  the buying process  and supports its customers – online stores – who do not yet offer  this payment option for their products.
