WikiLeakes founder Julian Assange will be extradited to Sweden for questioning over the alleged assaulting of two women in Sweden in August 2010. Assange has not been charged with a crime but Swedish prosecutors want to question him in connection with the allegations. This comes after he lost a court battle to stay in the United Kingdom. Another hearing will be held later this month to determine whether Assange can appeal. Assange has been under house arrest for almost a year while waiting to find out the results.

The organization he founded WikiLeaks has published some 250,000 confidential U.S. diplomatic cables in the past year. It has also published hundreds of thousands of classified U.S. documents related to the conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan.
