Code Orange for heavy snow in Romania: national roads closed, over 200 trains cancelled, thousands of people isolated

The authorities have declared Code Orange, as heavy snow will continue to fall, especially in the southern part of the country, until Tuesday afternoon.

 In Bucharest, traffic is going on as normal as can be in this situation, with no serious accidents. Traffic restrictions on the national roads DN2, DN3, and DN4 have been applied.

 Classes in schools and high-schools will be suspended on Tuesday in Bucharest. In the rest of the country, over 3,800 education units are already closed because of the weather.

 As many as 11 national roads plus the A2 Bucharest-Fetesti highway are closed to traffic starting this morning because of heavy snow.
