L’Oreal Romania has appointed Gilles Antoine as its new country general manager. In his role, he will be leading the local business of the group and manage the three divisions and nine brands present on the Romanian market. He is succeeding Richard Matalon, who is moving to a different position within the L’Oreal Group after a four-year local mandate.
French Gilles Antoine started his career in L’Oréal France 17 years ago, in the sales organization.
He has held several international assignments in countries such as Mexico (as sales director for the consumer products division), Brazil (as commercial director for Latin America, consumer products division) and Venezuela, where he served as the general manager of the consumer products division.
In 2009 he returned to France as deputy general manager for Consumer Products Latin America in charge of the commercial activity and the development of a number of countries such as Peru, Columbia and Central America.
