Alexandru Ciuncan is the new general manager of the National Union of Insurance and Reinsurance Societies in Romania (UNSAR) as of September 10.
With an experience of 17 years in the insurance industry in Romania and in Central and Eastern Europe, Alexandru Ciuncan comes after 5 years as a member of the two advisory groups of EIOPA – the European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority, as an expert in consumer protection and market conduct. He also has a solid background in financial journalism, communication and business development.
A graduate of the Bucharest Academy of Economic Studies, he is the holder of a Professional Certificate in Management (OPEN University Business School, UK) and is also licensed PMP-Project Management Professional and ACP-Agile Certified Professional Diploma (Project Management Institute).
