US President Donald Trump’s company has submitted plans to invest an extra USD 197 million in one of his golf resorts in Scotland, Reuters reports.
Trump owns two golf resorts in Scotland and has invested GBP 100 million in the first phase of development of a resort in Balmedie, near Aberdeen, which has attracted criticism from locals and environmentalists. The total investment will add up to GBP 750 million, according to the company.
The resort will include 500 residential homes, 50 hotel cottages, a sports center, retail, equestrian and commercial spaces, as well as other leisure facilities.
Trump visited his other golf course in Turnberry during his UK visit earlier this month.
