Minister Plumb signs financing contract for roads modernization in Brasov worth RON 147 mln

The delegated minister for European Funds, Rovana Plumb, signed a financing contract for the project “Modernization of Brasov roads connecting several counties DJ 104A, DJ 105C and DJ 105P”, with an overall value close to RON 147 million.

Out of the overall projects’ value, close to RON 123 million are non-reimbursed EU funds, with the main goal of growing the accessibility level in rural and urban areas.

Thus, will be modernized the roads from localities Sinca, Harseni, Lisa, Recea, Sambata de Sus, Dragus, Vistea, Ucea, and from the Victoria city. The projects also implies the construction of foot paths and placement of public transportation stations.

The minister estimates that due to the development of transport infrastructure, will be attracted new investors in the area and the number of tourists that visit or pass by the area will increase.

The project is financed through the Regional Operational Program 2014-2020, Priority Axis 6- The improvement of road infrastructure of regional importance, investments priority 6.1.

The general objective of the Regional Operational Program 2014-2020 is the economic competitiveness growth and improvement of living standards of local and regional communities, by supporting the business environment development, infrastructure and services. The objectives are realized via 11 priority axes and and a technical assistance axis.
