Profi opens six new stores, covering 312 localities in Romania

Profi retailer opened six new stores, in Siret, Cluj-Napoca, Bacau, Ramnicu Sarat, Cenad and Ghioroc, having units in 312 localities in Romania.

This year, Profi announced that it wants to open 200 stores. Currently, the retailer has 12,000 employees.

It registered revenues of over RON 3.5 billion in 2016, almost 40 percent higher than 2015, and a net profit of RON 126 million, two times higher than the previous year.

The retailer is owned by the investments fund Mid Europa, which took over the stores network in November from Enterprise Investors for EUR 553 million.
