Rompetrol Rafinarie interrupts the activities of Petromidia Navodari and Vega Ploiesti refineries for technical inspection for 20 days, during May 3-22, according to a release of the company.
„Established since November 2016, their total value will reach to over USD 17.5 million. The works will be coordinated by Rominserv, the general contractor of KMG International group and will focus on the optimization and improvement of production flows according to the processing capacity of Petromidia refinery, as well as the development of some maintenance works to increase the security level in the installations function and the environment protection. Over 2,000 persons with different specializations will work on the replacement of the necessary catalysts to maintain and grow the oil products quality and to verify, maintain and reauthorize some technological equipments on Petromidia and Vega refineries,” says the release.
The two units of KMG International will ensure the products’ delivery in this period from the existent stocks.
For this year, Rompetrol Rafinare aims to process a volume of around 5.6 million tonnes of raw material, a growth by 3.5 percent compared with the level from 2016.
At the same time, the company aims to sell around 5.3 million tonnes of oil products, out of which 83 percent auto fuels.
