Retargeting.Biz, a startup founded by two Romanians, has opened its first office in Los Angeles, USA, and is aiming to expand its portfolio to 1,000 clients by the end of 2016.
The startup, founded by Rares Banescu and Mugur Frunzetti, helps online stores to communicate with customers via built-in workflows that can be customized by users, allowing them to determine their preferred way to interact with their clients.
After establishing a presence in Bulgaria and Poland, Retargeting.Biz opened an office in Los Angeles and, according to company representatives, are in advanced talks with several Italian partners.
Currently, Retargeting.Biz provides services to 200 domestic and 200 international clients, including Fashion Up, Floria, Zorile Store, Glittio, Meli Melo and Evolio. According to company representatives, it aims to grow its portfolio by the end of the year and will soon announce collaborations with IT players in Romania and neighboring countries. “We are estimating a portfolio of 1,000 clients at the end of 2016, and in the upcoming weeks we will announce integrations with major players on the Romanian, Bulgaria and Polish IT markets,” company co-founder and CEO Rares Banescu said.
“Retargeting.Biz differentiates itself from other similar tools by means of performance-based pricing, as well as a different approach in customer profiling and communication,” Rares Banescu said. “We are constantly improving the software with the purpose to help online stores in their communication with the store’s clients. Thus, we reached 15 triggers per e-mail, which all support e-mail reminder and SMS reminder [functions],” Banescu explained.
Launched in 2013, Retargeting.Biz employs 25 staff and has generated up until now 40 million of customized messages and supplementary sales of over EUR 8.5 million at an average conversion rate of over 10 percent.
