MedLife starts construction of hospital and clinic in Brasov

MedLife started construction works for a hospital and clinic in Brasov. The hospital will have a capacity of 75 beds and will comprise five levels. MedLife signed a contract with Zeiss for medical investigation and surgery equipment while in the imagistic sector the medical chain will use Siemens equipment.

MedLife has so far invested in excess of EUR 2.5 million in the hospital and this sum is deemed to increase substantially by the end of the project.

MedLife took over an 80 percent stake in Policlinica de Diagnostic Rapid in Brasov in June, for which it paid in excess of EUR 3 million. MedLife is partner with Policlinica, which runs two medical clinics and three laboratories. The policlinic has an annual traffic above 100,000 patients. It posted a turnover of EUR 3 million last year.
