Key move. Iulian Alexe is UTA Romania’s new country manager

UTA Romania, the local branch of the group Union Tank Eckstein has Iulian Alexe as country manager starting June, according to a statement by the company. Alexe’s priorities will be customer portfolio development and sales activities of the company in Romania.

Iulian Alexe has rich experience in the field of card services, previously holding various management positions in the company issuing vouchers and prepaid cards Edenred Romania, where he worked for 7 years.

In November 2015, UTA opened direct operations in Romania together with its international partner Edenred, and Iulian Alexe was responsible for developing and implementing operations in the local market.

A graduate of the Polytechnic University of Bucharest, Alexe began his career with Vodafone, accumulating almost 12 years experience in managing customer relationships.

German group UTA is a European supplier of fuel and related services cards for cargo and passenger carriers in over 53,000 affiliated locations in 40 countries. The group has over 81,000 client companies, employs 400 and has an annual turnover of EUR 2.6 billion.
